  • Role Summary

    Design, develop, and maintain software for protein modeling, focusing on code standardization, containerization, and deployment.
    Collaborate with R&D directors, interns, and computational biologists to develop Python/C++ codebases and resolve GPU dependencies.
    Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and documentation for reproducible, portable biotech software.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Develop and standardize Python/C++ code for CLI/GUI interfaces in Linux, Windows, and macOS environments.

    • Manage dependencies like PyTorch, TensorFlow, CUDA, BioPython, NumPy, Conda/Poetry/UV for ML and bioinformatics reproducibility.

    • Implement Docker/Apptainer (Singularity) containerization and GitHub Actions CI/CD for automated testing/deployments.

    • Build and debug GPU environments (NVIDIA drivers, cuDNN) and integrate with tools like ChimeraX, PyMOL, CryoSPARC.

    • Debug cross-platform issues and support agile development.

    Required Qualifications

    • Bachelor's in computer science, bioinformatics, engineering, or related field; 3+ years software experience.

    • Proficiency in Python (ML focus), C/C++, Git/GitHub; data structures, algorithms, design patterns.

    • Strong problem-solving, Linux/Unix admin, shell scripting; experience with biological data formats.

    • Excellent communication for cross-functional biotech teams.

    Preferred Qualifications

    • DevOps: CI/CD (GitHub Actions), cloud (AWS/GCP/Azure), databases (SQL/NoSQL).

    • ML/bioinformatics: PyTorch/TensorFlow, BioPython; containerization (Docker multi-stage, Apptainer).

    • GPU setup (CUDA/cuDNN), agile methods, testing frameworks, history of impactful software contributions.
